HALLOWELL — The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Stuart Blanchard, of Winthrop, to serve as a Team Member and AmeriCorps volunteer for the summer season. Blanchard is the son of Peter and April Blanchard, also of Winthrop.
The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout the state of Maine, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation, according to a news release.
Blanchard is a 2007 graduate of Winthrop High School and currently attends the University of Maine, where he is studying history and anthropology. This season he will serve on a crew of three to seven members and undertake several trails projects across the state of Maine.
