My heart goes out to the victims of Hurricane Sandy who lost loved ones, their homes, businesses, or perhaps their entire livelihood. I’m not certain how I would respond were I faced with such a catastrophe.
Seeing all those people sitting in gas lines, or standing in line to get a few gallons of gas to run home generators conveys a very strong message. They’re demanding gasoline, not windmills and solar panels.
How could the government help? The National Guard and active services could provide generators to power hospitals, police and fire stations, and gas stations. It could provide fuel tankers to transport gas and diesel fuel to those hospitals and gas stations and other emergency services in need. Just two simple ideas to use government to solve problems.
I wonder how long it will take FEMA and Homeland Security to figure it out?
