NORTH ANSON — Nick Mills scored 13 points to lead the Telstar boys basketball team to a 36-24 Mountain Valley Conference win over Carrabec on Wednesday night.
Cameron Pike added 11 points for Telstar (1-1). Troy Dunphy led Carrabec (0-3) with 10 points.

Spruce Mountain 73, Mt. Abram 46: The Phoenix broke open a close game in the fourth quarter with a 24-5 run, taking the Mountain Valley Conference win.
Peter Theriault led Spruce Mountain (2-1) with 16 points. Deonte Ring scored eight of his 13 points for the Phoenix in the fourth quarter.
Ian James led Mt. Abram (0-2) with 15 points.

Dirigo 64, Madison 47: Rob Babb had 18 points as the Coguars earned an MVC win in Madison.
Dylan Kidder, Riley Robinson and PJ Arsenault each added eight points for Dirigo (2-0).
Mark Linkletter and Dustin West each had 10 points for Madison (0-2).

Brewer 66, Mt. Blue 43: Brendan Newcomb scored 20 points and Zachary Gulesian added 10 as the Witches beat the Cougars on Tuesday.
Drew Parsons had nine points for Mt. Blue (0-2).
Girls ice hockey

Winslow 10, Mt. Ararat 1: Jen Poulin scored four goals and Alexis Lachance added three to lead the Raiders in an East Division game at Sukee Arena.
The Raiders (2-4-0) led 6-0 after the first period and never looked back.
“It felt good to put some pucks in the net,” Winslow first-year coach Chris Downing said. “We’ve been in a lot of tight games recently.”
Britany Whitaker scored two goals and Brooke Roy added another for Winslow.
Jessica Cain made 31 saves to earn the victory.
Devin Hutchins scored the lone goal for Mt. Ararat (0-5-0).

Boys ice hockey

Camden Hills 13, Lawrence 6: In Camden, Jack Orne and Steven Hand scored three goals each to lead the Windjammers to the Class B win. Andrew Carepenter scored five goals for Lawrence while Jordan Nutting added a goal and Tyler Boudreau notched four assists. Camden Hills is 2-0, Lawrence is 1-1.

Women’s basketball

UM-Augusta 77, Southern Maine Community College 69: Arreonte Lee scored 27 points and Allyssa Marson added 25 to lead the Moose to the Yankee Small College Conference win in Augusta.
Haley Madore hauled in 22 rebounds to go along with six points for UMA (8-5, 6-3) while Corinne Dingley added 12 points. The Moose were 33-49 from the free throw line.
SMCC (9-3, 5-2) was led by Rogetta Donalson with 27 points and Maria Veino with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
