RANGELEY — Taylor Esty went 6 for 8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as the Rangeley girls basketball team beat defending Western D champion Richmond 56-54 in overtime Friday night.

Blayke Morin went 7 for 10 from the line in the fourth quarter as Rangeley (1-0) scored 15 points to force overtime.

Morin finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Esty had 12 points and eight rebounds. Tori Letarte added 15 points, while Jenney Abbott had five points and nine reobunds for the Lakers.

Jamie Plummer scored 29 points for Richmond (2-1).

Lawrence 57, Messalonskee 41: Dominique Lewis scored 21 points as the Bulldogs beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Paige Belanger added 14 points and Nia Irving 12 for Lawrence (2-1).

Mikayla Turner had 11 points and Kelsey Mayo 10 for Messalonskee (1-2).

Mt. Blue 38, Hampden 30: Gabby Foy had 13 points as the Cougars beat the Broncos in a KVAC A game in Hampden.

Amy Hilton added eight points for Mt. Blue, which improves to 2-1.

Erin Murphy scored eight points for Hampden (0-3).

Valley 41, Vinalhaven 34: Teagan Laweryson had 14 points, seven assists and three rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to the East/West Conference win in Bingham.

Kim Bergeron added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Valley (2-1).

Ashley Hamilton scored 11 points for Vinalhaven (1-3) while Eliza Davidson added 10.

Forest Hills 69, North Haven 17: Kori Coro and Dana McNally each scored 14 points as the Tigers cruised to a win in Jackman.
Linda Riley added 12 points and Anna Carrier had 11 for Forest Hills, which remains unbeaten at 5-0.
Sam Sparhawk had 10 points for North Haven (0-3).

Belfast 44, Waterville 24: Lexi Nelligan scored 21 points to lead the visiting Lions to the KVAC B win. Katrina Lapham and Courtney Drinkwater chipped in with seven points apiece for Belfast (2-1).

Colleen O’Donnell led Waterville (0-3) with 12 points while Jenna Gagnon scored 10.

Mt. Ararat 72, Erskine 42:
Caitlin LaFountain scored 24 points, including five 3-pointers as Mt. Ararat beat Erskine Academy in a KVAC A game in Topsham.

Bridget Humphrey had 19 points and 16 rebounds for Erskine (0-3).

Kristy Willey added 11 points for Mt. Ararat (3-0).

Mt. Abram 37, Winthrop 32: Miranda Smith had 13 points as the Roadrunners won the Mountain Valley Conference game in Winthrop.

McKenzie Tyler added 11 points for Mt. Abram (2-2).

Cat Ouellette had 12 points for Winthrop (0-4).

Winslow 45, MCI 30: Devin Fitzgibbons had 26 points as the Black Raiders earned their first win of the season, in Pittsfield.

Hannah Emery had eight points for MCI (0-3).
Winslow is 1-2.

Carrabec 55, Telstar 28: Macy Welch scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Cobras won Thursday night.
Mickayla Willette added 10 points for Carrabec (1-2). Tori Ryerson had nine points to lead Telstar (0-3).
