WALES — Trevor Samson had 17 points and 11 rebounds as Oak Hill defeated Madison 55-42 to earn its first win in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B boys basketball action Friday.

Sam Morin added 18 points for Oak Hill (1-2) while Parker Asselin chipped in with nine.

Steven Lawrence had 13 points for Madison (0-3).

Winthrop 75, Mt. Abram 43: Sophomore Taylor Morang had 13 points, eights assists and five steals to lead the host Ramblers to the MVC win.

Ben Allen added 18 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists for Winthrop (2-2). Crispin Bander chipped in with 13 points.

Mt. Abram (0-3) was led by Ian James with nine points and Calum Dixon with eight.

Maranacook 73, Nokomis 64: Four players scored in double figures as the Warriors won the KVAC B game in Newport.

Spencer Hartsgrove led Nokomis (2-1) with 22 points. Andrew Cartwright added 20, while Drew Wing and Andrew Cartwright each had 11.

Taylor Wilbur scored 28 points, including six 3-pointers, for Maranacook (0-3). Caleb Jackson added 10 points for the Black Bears.

Cony 63, Oxford Hills 51: Alex Neill scored a career-high 23 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Ben Lucas added six points and 10 rebounds for Cony (1-2) while Zach Lachance scored 13 points.

Oxford Hills (1-2) was led by Andrew Fleming with 12 points and Jake Plummer with 10.

College men’s basketball

Army 96, Maine 67: Justin Edwards scored 18 points in the Black Bears loss to the Golden Knights in West Point, N.Y.

Alasdair Fraser added six points and 11 rebounds, while Xavier Pollard had nine points and five assists for Maine (3-7).

Kyle Wilson had 18 points for Army (5-5).
