WINTHROP — Dakota Carter scored all 15 of his points in the second half to lead Winthrop to a 59-43 win against St. Dominic in Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball action Saturday night. Carter also grabbed 14 rebounds and had five steals.

Ben allen also scored 15 poiints for the Ramblers, 13 coming in the first half, to go with seven rebounds. Sophomore Taylor Morang contributed eight steals and seven assists. Eric Ulin led St. Dom’s (2-4) with 12 points while teammate Matt Dyer scored 10. Winthrop is 4-3.

Oak Hill 56, Wiscasset 47: Parker Asselin scored a game-high 25 points and Sam Morin added 14 to lead the Raiders in Wales.

Trever Sampson scored 13 points and Luke Washburn grabbed 13 rebounds for Oak Hill (4-4), trailed 25-24 at the half.

Austin Haskell scored 13 points to pace the Wolverines (4-3).

Boothbay 52, Hall-Dale 50: Despite making just 2 of 11 free throws in the final two minutes, Boothbay hung on to take the Mountain Valley Conference win over the Bulldogs.

Boothbay (7-1) held a seven point lead with two minutes to play, but the Seahawks couldn’t ice the game at the line. John Hepburn led Boothbay with 18 points, scoring 12 in the fourth quarter. Link Simmons added 12 points for the Seahawks.

Sam Shepherd led Hall-Dale (6-2) with 19 points. Michael Woods scored 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Monmouth 50, Lisbon 31: Marquis Houston scored 15 points and Brnadon Goff added 14 to lead the Mustangs to the MVC win in Lisbon. Tucker Brandon led the Greyhounds with 13 points while teammate Mason Haley scored 10. Monmouth is 4-3, Lisbon is 2-5.

Girls basketball

Old Orchard Beach 43, Kents Hill 35: Caroline Tortorella scored a team-high 12 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Huskies, who dropped a contest to the Seagulls in Kents Hill.

Sara Grenier added 11 points for the Huskies (1-2).

Christina Colman led Old Orchard Beach (5-2) with a game-high 14 points.

Telstar 53, Winthrop 32: Kelly Pomerleau scored 22 points to lead the Rebels to the MVC win in Winthrop. Faith Grady added 14 points for Telstar (3-5) while Callie Greco scored 13. Cat Ouellette and Shauna Carlson scored nine points each for Winthrop (0-7).

Boys hockey

MHW 4, Yarmouth 1: Jared Hanson scored two goals and the Hawks cruised past the Clippers at Bonnefond Ice Arena in Kents Hill.

Tom Pietroski and Clark also scored for the Hawks (4-2-1).

Nick Lacasse added two assists.

Max Watson scored the lone goal for Yarmouth (0-5-2).
