Justin Sawyer, 25, of Sidney, was charged with operating under the influence, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, failure to report a crash by quickest means and theft by receiving stolen property. He also was charged with several traffic violations.

Sawyer was charged by police responding to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Beaver Dam Road. Police say the car was totaled and the driver had left. Police later found Sawyer at his home. The theft charge was related to a stolen speed-limit sign reportedly found in Sawyer’s crashed car.
