WINTHROP — Hunter Kilgore scored 13 points to lead Winthrop past Lisbon 58-43 in a Mountain Valley Confer-ence boys basketball game Monday. Dakota Carter added 12 points for Winthrop (6-5) while Zach Steele chipped in with 10.

Tucker Brannon scored a game-high 17 points for Lisbon (2-8).

Brewer 58, Cony 49: Ian Burgess scored a game-high 16 points and Jeff Weeks added 11 to lead the Witches to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Augusta.

Matt Pushard and Brandon Newcombe each scored nine points to pace Brewer (5-6).

Mitch Bonenfant scored 11 points and Chandler Shostak added seven to pace Cony (4-7).

Edward Little 55, Messalonskee 53: Sean Ford and Quin Leary combined for 17 points in the second half as the Red Eddies rallied to a KVAC A win against the Eagles. Ford finished with 17 points to lead EL while Leary added 13. Jordan Holmes led the Eagles with 12 points while Ryan Erskine scored 10. Edward Little is 9-1, Messalonskee is 5-6.

Girls basketball

Oak Hill 55, St. Dominic 24: Grace Sabine scored 16 points and had five steals to lead the Raiders to the KVAC B win in Auburn. Sadie Goulet added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Oak Hill (6-5), which pulled away in the third quarter.

The teams were tied 20-20 at the half but the Raiders outscored the Saints 35-4 in the second half.

Faith Grady had 17 points to lead St. Dominic (6-4).

Edward Little 56, Messalonskee 37: Tianna Harriman scored a game-high 21 points and Brooke Reynolds added 11 to lead the Red Eddies to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.

Kory Norcross also scored 11 points for EL (9-2).

Kassi Michaud scored 11 points and Kelsey Mayo added eight points and 11 rebounds to pace Messalonskee (5-6).

Brewer 41, Cony 40: Alexa Grindle scored 13 points and her teammates helped hold Cony to four in the fourth quarter as the host Witches pulled out the KVAC A win.

Bayleigh Logan led Cony with 10 points while Emily Quirion scored nine and Josie Lee grabbed 14 rebounds.

Brewer is 6-5, Cony is 5-6.

Waynflete 64, Kents Hill 39: The Flyers took a 35-12 halftime lead and never looked back on their way to the victory in Portland. Kents Hill (2-3) was led by Sara Grenier with 23 points and Emma Curnin with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Boothbay 51, Monmouth 46: The visiting Seahawks pulled away in the fourth quarter in posting the MVC win. Alex Clarke led Boothbay (9-2) with 20 points while Morgan Crocker added 11.

Kylie Kemp paced Monmouth (7-3) with 14 points while Sierra Spencer added 10 points.

Hall-Dale 44, Wiscasset 25: Allison Crockett had seven points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Natasha Brown scored 11 points for Hall-Dale (4-6).

Wiscasset (2-8) was led by Briana Gould with11 points.

Lawrence 56, Lewiston 47: Nia Irving scored 12 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Paige Belanger also posted a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Dominique Lewis scored 13 points for the Bulldogs (7-4) as well. Bri Wilson scored 17 points to pace Lewiston (3-8).

Boys hockey

MHW 5, Mt. Ararat/Lisbon 2: Jared Hanson scored two goals to lead the Maranacook/Hall-Dale/Winthrop co-operative team to the Class A win at Bowdoin College.

Bailey Clark, Dan Condon and Matt Plourde scored goals for the winners while Evan Tome scored both goals for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon.

Josh Ehiorobo made 21 saves for MHW (6-2-1) while Zach O’Connor stopped 21 shots for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon (3-5-0).
