MADISON — Sam Bruce had 14 points as the Madison girls basketball team earned its 10th win of the season, beating Mt. Abram 42-33 on Thursday night.
Courtney Taylor added eight points and Bronte Elias seven for the Bulldogs (10-2).
Mikayla Luce and Miranda Smith each had 12 points for the Roadrunners (5-7).
Gardiner 37, Waterville 27: Ally Day had eight points, eight rebounds and six steals to lead the Tigers past the Purple Panthers in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game in Gardiner.
Kelly MaComber added eight points for the Tigers (8-3).
Fotini Shanos had 11 points for Waterville (2-10).
Oceanside 53, MCI 14: Brooke Dugan had 10 points as the Mariners beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.
Emily Gold and Phoebe Ferraiolo added eight points each for Oceanside (10-1).
Hannah Emery had six points for MCI (0-12).
Winslow 47, Morse 36: Devin Fitzgibbons scored a team-high 12 points to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win over the Shipbuilders in Winslow.
Alyssa Wood added 11 points for Winslow, which improved to 5-7 on the season.
Morse (4-7) was led by Sadie Crosby, who scored a game-high 13 points.
Madison 60, Mt. Abram 50: Austin Kane scored 27 points as the Bulldogs beat the Roadrunners for their fifth win in six games, in Madison.
Jared Miller added 13 points, while Dylan Price had four points, six rebounds and 10 assists for Madison, which improves to 6-6 after starting the season 1-5.
Amos Withee scored 21 points, Ian James added 12 and Calum Dixon had 10 for Mt. Abram (6-6).
Winslow 66, Morse 52: Austin Ireland had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Black Raiders past the Shipbuilders in a KVAC B game in Bath.
Nason Lanphier add 16 points, eight steals and five assists for Winslow (10-2), while Trevor Lovely added 14 points.
Liam McDonough and Kevin McKeller each had nine points for Morse (4-7).
Thomas 58, MMA 53: The Terriers women’s basketball team rallied from 15 points down at halftime to earn a 58-53 win over the Mariners in a North Atlantic Conference game Thursday.
Thomas (4-10, 3-6 in the conference) trailed by as much as 16 points in the first half. MMA (6-8, 4-5 in the conference) jumped out to the lead thanks to 10 points in the first half by Messalonskee graduate Mary Badeen, who finished with 15.
Messalonskee graduate Megan Pelletier had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Thomas. Gardiner graduate Katie McAllister added 14 points.
Husson 65, UM-Farmington 63: Kenni Norton hit a 3-pointer with nine seconds left in regulation as the Beavers forced overtime, but the Eagles outscored the Beavers in OT to earn the win in Farmington.
Kelli Murray scored three points in overtime for Husson (5-9, 5-4 in the conference) and finished with 12 points. Stephanie Comstock led the Eagles with 22 points. Victoria McIntyre also had 12 points.
Lindsay Ranquist had 13 and Norton 12 for UMF (5-9, 5-4 in the conference).
UM-Augusta 82, NMCC 54: Lawrence High School graduate Keith Chesley had 36 points as the Moose cruised to a win in Augusta.
Garrett Alley added 18 points and Emmitt Faulkner 10 for UMA (8-10, 7-5 in the Yankee Small College Conference).
Nick McIntosh had 14 points, while Reid Clark and Pat Goodall both had 11 for NMCC (0-9, 0-8 in the conference).
Thomas 89, MMA 74: Levi Barnes had 19 points as the Terriers beat the Mariners in an NAC game in Waterville.
Adam Carlsen and Jarrad DeVaughan both added 12 points for Thomas (6-7). Franklin Salvador chipped in with 11.
