BELFAST — Ally Day had 16 points and 15 rebounds as Gardiner defeated Belfast 57-49 in overtime to earn the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls basketball win Friday.

Kylee Granholm added 16 points for Gardiner (9-4), which held Belfast to two points in the third quarter and two points in the overtime period.

Lexi Nelligan had 16 points for Belfast (9-4).

Monmouth 57, Mt. Abram 53: Sierra Spencer broke open a close game with three 3-pointers in the third quarter to lead the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Salem.

Spencer finished with 17 points for Monmouth (11-3) while Kylie Kemp added 16.

Mt. Abram (6-8) was led by Mikayla Luce with 17 points and Miranda Smith with 15.

Cony 46, Oxford Hills 43: Emily Quirion hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to seal the win for the Rams in South Paris.

Josie Lee had 12 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists for Cony (8-6). Bayleigh Logan led the Rams with 13 points, while Emily Quirion added 12.

Crystal West, Mikayla Morin and Abby Eastman each had eight points for Oxford Hills.

Richmond 59, Greenville 31: Jamie Plummer had 30 points, nine rebounds and nine steals to lead the host Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.

Kelsea Anair added five points and six steals for Richmond (10-2) while Brianna Snedeker chipped in with five points and seven assists.

Greenville (6-8) was led by Michaella Gilbert with 13 points and Olivia Bouchard with 12 points.

Mt. Ararat 57, Erskine 41: Mallory Nelson scored a game-high 23 points to lead Mt. Ararat (11-3) to the KVAC B win in South China. Kaitlyn Lafountain added 15.

Erskine (0-14) was led by Bridget Humphrey with 15 points and Taylor Boucher with 11.

Lawrence 73, Messalonskee 48: Nia Irving had 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Bulldogs won the KVAC A game in Fairfield.

Dominique Lewis added 19 points and six assists while Paige Belanger had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Lawrence (10-4).

Kassi Michaud had 12 pionts, Mikayla Turner 11 and Nikki Collier 10 for Messalonskee (7-7).

Spruce Mountain 51, Winthrop 18: Nicole Hamblin had 10 points as the Phoenix won an MVC game in Jay.

Kailee Newcomb added seven points for Spruce Mountain (14-0).

Shauna Carlson had six points for Winthrop (1-13).

Boys basketball

Gardiner 59, Belfast 33: Tyler Jamison had a game-high 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in Gardiner.

Dennis Meehan added six points and six rebounds, while Jensen Orewiler added seven points for the Tigers (5-8).

Kaleb Benjamin led Belfast (6-7) with eight points.

Kents Hill 52, Berwick 36: Nelkas Kwemo had a triple-double with 10 points, 20 rebounds and 11 steals to lead the Huskies to the win in Berwick.

Eli Roberts led all scorers with 22 points for Kents Hill (6-6) while Ethan Feldman was also in double figures with 13 points.

Berwick (3-12) was led by Stephen Sherbahn with 10 points.

Morse 70, Maranacook 46: Matt Munster had 19 points as the Shipbuilders won the KVAC B game in Readfield.

Liam McDonough added 14 points while Ethan Winglass had 11 and Kevin McKellar 10 for Morse.

Kyle Boucher had 13 points for Maranacook (6-8).

Mt. Ararat 78, Erskine 56: Alex Lapierre had 19 points as Mt. Ararat won the KVAC A game in Topsham.

Shyheim Ulrickson added 16 points for Mt. Ararat (6-8).

Caleb McGuire had a game-high 24 points for Erskine (1-13).
