CONCORD, N.H. — New Hampshire is experiencing a combination of strong winds and plummeting temperatures during a topsy-turvy day that started with readings as high as 60 degrees in the morning.

At least four ski areas closed for the day Thursday or closed some trails because of the wind — or because of the warmer weather.
