AUGUSTA — A jury deliberated for less than an hour Friday before clearing a Sidney man of a charge of domestic-violence assault.

Wayne Johnson, 50, had been accused of committing that offense on Aug. 16, 2012, in Sidney.

In the one-day trial in Kennebec County Superior Court, Johnson was represented by attorney Darrick X. Banda. The prosecutor was Assistant District Attorney Fernand LaRochelle.
