PITTSTON — A 22-year-old man was injured seriously Sunday in a dirt bike accident on the Troop Road, according to the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, whose name was being withheld late Sunday, was taken by LifeFlight of Maine helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with unspecified injuries, according to Deputy Nathan McNally.
The motorcycle was not damaged in the 6:45 p.m. accident, and the victim was the only rider, McNally said. Additional details were unavailable Sunday evening.
The Pittston Fire Department, Gardiner Rescue and Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office responded to emergency call.
