WINSLOW — Police are looking for two suspects they believe to be responsible for a series of burglaries during the last two weeks.

Three homes were burglarized Thursday afternoon and three others on March 31, said Sgt. Haley Fleming of the Winslow Police Department.

The burglaries on Thursday were reported between 2:52 p.m. and 3:43 p.m. and took place in homes on West Baker Street and Monica Avenue.

On March 31, Easter Sunday, the burglaries took place between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Cone and Chadwick streets and at another Monica Avenue home.

The burglaries appear to be connected because they occurred around the same time of day, Fleming said. The burglars also appear to have gotten into the different homes in the same way by breaking through the doors, he said.

Stolen items include television sets, a PlayStation set, an Xbox, jewelry, collectable coins, cash, cameras, iPods and iPads, he said.

Police have collected fingerprints, DNA evidence and footprints from the homes and that evidence is being processed in the state crime laboratory, Fleming said. They have several suspects, but no arrests have been made, he said.

In the meantime, he asked anyone with information about the crimes to contact the Winslow Police Department at 872-5215.
