WATERVILLE — TC Peters and Jake Linkletter each scored two goals to lift the University of Maine at Farmington men’s lacrosse team past Thomas 6-5 in a North Atlantic Conference game Wednesday.

Sean Berce and Brandon Melville also scored for UMF (4-5, 4-3 in NAC).

Jordan Marino and Parker Chute each scored two goals for Thomas (3-8, 2-4).

Women’s lacrosse

Thomas 18, Husson 10: Miranda Tinsman scored seven goals on eight shots and Jennifer Day added three goals to lead the Terriers to the NAC victory in Bangor.

The teams were tied 6-6 at the half before Thomas pulled away with six unanswered goals to open the second half.

Brittany Premo added two goals for Thomas.

Caitlyn Stauffer scored six goals to lead the Eagles.

Softball

Thomas 7-8, Lyndon State 2-1: Faith Robinson pitched a complete game and Thomas took advantage of six Lyndon State errors to grab the victory in the opener of a NAC doubleheader.

Jena Finnegan had two hits while Robinson allowed just one earned run while striking out two.

In Game 2, Samantha Moore had three doubles and Janelle Coimei drove in three runs to lead the Terriers (8-12, 7-9 in NAC).

Baseball

St. Joseph’s 8, Colby 2: Joe Coyne hit a two-run homer and Alex Valenti pitched seven strong innings to lead the Monks at Coombs Field in Waterville.

Valenti struck out three, walked one and allowed two earned runs to improve to 4-0. Sam Butts finished with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI’s for St. Joseph’s (21-9).

Jake Kramer had two hits and an RBI while Luke Duncklee added a pair of hits to lead the Mules.

Also Wednesday: Forrest Chadwick went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI to lead the University of Southern Maine baseball team past Endicott 7-0. Sam Dexter went 2 for 4. … Skowhegan native Becca McCarty pitched seven innings to lead the Husson softball team past Maine Maritime 7-2. McCarty struck out nine.
