WATERVILLE —  AJ Godin scattered six hits and Tyler Bouchard drove in three runs to lead the Waterville baseball team past Camden Hills 5-2 in the season opener for both teams Wednesday afternoon. 

Godin went the distance, allowing two walks while striking out four. Bouchard singled and hit a three-run triple in Waterville’s four-run fifth inning. Danny Pooler added two singles for the Panthers while Aiden Fitzgeralnd and Owen Brown each drove in a run.

Connor Graffam singled and doubled for the Windjammers.

Messalonskee 7, Edward Little 3:
Ben Frazee drove in three runs, and Jared Cunningham hit a two-run double to lift the defending state champion Eagles to the win in Auburn.

Jake Dexter also had a pair of hits for Messalonskee (1-0). Patrick Breton earned the win.

Lew Jensen, Matt Hammond and John Simpson each had a pair of hits for Edward Little (0-1).

Winslow 8, Mt. View 3: The Black Raiders banged out 13 hits and scored in every inning but the third to earn the season-opening win over the Mustangs in Winslow.

Taylor Roy and Ryan Dubois each had three hits for Winslow. Alex Bernard chipped in with two hits. On the mound Logan Hewes pitched the first five innings, and Dylan Hapworth went the final two. Hewes and Hapworth combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Erik Larrabee, Ricky Moulton, and Ross Delorenzo each had one hit for Mt. View.

Nokomis 11, Oceanside 8: Justin Kasprzak smacked two doubles to lead the Warriors to an opening game win over the Mariners in Newport.

Zach Ramsdell earned the win on the mound for Nokomis (1-0), striking out six in six innings of work.

Zach Roman and Zach Peaco each had two hits for Oceanside (0-1).

Lewiston 8, Skowhegan 6:
Brian Wygant drove in three runs for Lewiston in a seven run fifth inning, as the Blue Devils took the KVAC A win at home.

Eddie Emerson, Eric Soucy and Wygant each had two hits for Lewiston (1-0).

Trailing 8-2, the Indians scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning, but the rally fell short.

Trevor Hisler and Chase Nelson each had two hits for Skowhegan (0-1).

Bangor 12, Erskine 2, 6 inn.: The host Rams collected 12 hits en route to the KVAC Class A season-opening win.

Tyler LaPlante led the attack with a triple and single followed by Hunter Boyce with a double and single and Parker Sanderson and Sam Stanhpe with two singles apiece. Winning pitcher Greg Duff went the distance, striking out four and walking three. Josh Bailey had a two-run double for Erskine.

Messalonskee 10, Mt. Ararat 6:
Ben Weeks scored seven goals and Aidan Calkins added a pair to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Topsham.

Josh Towle also scored for Messalonskee (2-0). James Varney had three assists and Jake Smith made 12 saves to earn the victory.

Nick Dow had two goals to lead Mt. Ararat (0-1).
