WALES — Ryan Riordan pitched a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters while walking two as the Oak Hill baseball team defeated Madison 6-0 on Friday afternoon.

Riordan, a senior, also produced at the plate, smacking a double while scoring a run for the Raiders (1-0).

Jonah Martin had two hits for Oak Hill, while brother Jake Martin added a double in the win over the Bulldogs (0-1).

Hampden 10, Messalonskee 0, 6 innings: Matt Palmer took a no-hitter into the sixth inning to lead the Broncos to the win in Hampden.

Palmer struck out 12 and walked one in the one-hit win. At the plate, Palmer hit two doubles, a single, and drove in three runs.

Hampden is 2-0, Messalonskee is 1-1.

Maranacook 18, Nokomis 15, 8 inning: The Black Bears scored three runs in the top of the eighth and held on for the KVAC B win in Newport.

Cam Brochu led Marnacook hitters with two singles, a home run and four RBIs. Matt Delmar added three hits while Carson Delheim, Tucker Whitman and Luke Ruffing had two hits each.

Spencer Hartsgrove, Chandler Foss and Jake Winslow each had a double and two singles for Nokomis while Justin Kasprzak added two doubles, Connor Allen a home run and single, Aron Smestad three singles and Zach Ramsdell and Jake Nichols two singles each. Both teams are 1-1.

Softball

Madison 20, Oak Hill 2, 5 innings: Aly LeBlanc had two singles and two RBIs as the Bulldogs cruised to Bulldogs cruised to a win over the Raiders in an MVC game in Wales.

Emily McKenney had six strike outs and didn’t walk a batter to earn the win for Madison (1-0). Savanna Kandiko had a triple and Hillary McKenney had a double for the Bulldogs.

Messalonskee 9, Hampden 6: The Broncos rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and had the tying run at the plate, but pitcher Jordan Roy induced a game-ending pop-up as the Eagles held on to defeat the Broncos in Hampden.

Kayla Clewey doubled twice, Abby Lord singled twice, and Nicole MacDougall doubled for Hampden (1-1).

Nikki Collie singled twice for Messalonskee (2-0).

Cony 14, Erskine 0: Sophomore Arika Brochu pitched a one-hitter to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in South China. Brochu struck out six and walked two.

The Rams (2-0) broke open a scoreless game with three runs in the fourth inning. Veronica Wood led Cony’s 13-hit attack with four singles while teammates Alyssah Dennett and Molly Russell added two hits each. Erskine is 0-2.

Boys lacrosse

Cony 10, Oxford Hills 2: Austin Davis scored three goals to lead the Rams to the KVAC win in Augusta.

Joel Bennett and Tyler Leet scored two goals apiece for the Rams while John Bennett, Dan Erbe and Jon Saban scored one each. Brendan Surette, Mike Luber and Saban each had an assist. Ian Lejanhud scored both goals for the Vikings.

Caleb Carr made six saves in goal for Cony (1-2) while Tim Hutchinson made 17 for Oxford Hills (0-2).
