AUGUSTA — The Maine Film Office has revamped its online guide listing the state’s film and television crew members in an effort to attract more filmmakers to the state.

Maine Film Office Director Karen Carberry Warhola says film producers like to use local crews to keep costs down, but if they don’t know where crew members can be found they’ll look elsewhere to film.

Warhola says the online database lists talent ranging from producers, camera operators and location scouts to costume designers, makeup artists and script supervisors.

The guide, which can be found on the film office’s website, also lists business that offer goods and services needed by productions filming in Maine.
