FARMINGTON — A Livermore Falls man has been sentenced to four months in jail for breaking into a pair of Maine skiing centers.

Ronald Davis II was sentenced recently to four years behind bars, with all but four months suspended, and two years of probation for thefts at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington and Spruce Mountain Ski Slope in Jay. He was also ordered to pay more than $1,000 in restitution and perform 400 hours of community service.

Police say the 23-year-old Davis stole $670 and portable radios from Titcomb Mountain in March 2012, and took radios from Spruce Mountain in November and drove a municipal bulldozer up the slopes to the top of the mountain.

The Sun Journal reports that Davis’ lawyer says his client is taking responsibility for his actions.
