NEWPORT — Nokomis rallied for three runs in the sixth and scored the winning run in the seventh to nip Winslow 8-7 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B softball game Monday afternoon.

Trailing 7-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Nokomis (8-3) scored two runs and then tied it on a solo home run by Danielle George. In the seventh, Lacey Kent-Webber led off with a shot off the center field fence that missed a home run by a couple feet. Kent-Webber then scored on Becky Orcutt’s one-out single.

Brooke Haskell and Ali LeClair each doubled twice for Winslow (7-4). Hillary Libby added a single and a double. For Nokomis, George, Kent-Webber, and Orcutt each had two hits.

Madison 8, Telstar 5: Makayla Booker hit a solo home run to give the Bulldogs the lead in a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Rebels in Bethel.

Madison (12-0) went on to add five more runs in the sixth inning to seal the win. Emily McKenney pitched a complete game, striking out 10 and walking five, to earn the win.

Rachel Wheeler had three hits, including a home run, for Telstar (7-2).

Erskine 8, Mt. Ararat 0: Taylor Boucher had three singles and winning pitcher Alyssa Gartley also had three hits to lead Erskine to the KVAC A win in South China.

Amber Grady had a double and a single for Erskine (5-6). Mackenzie Gayer had two singles.

Mallory Nelson led Mt. Ararat (3-8) with two singles.

Forest Hills 21-21, Buckfield 8-9: Josie Hoyt drove in six runs on the day and Haly Cuddy knocked in five in the opener to lead the Tigers to the doubleheader sweep.

Hoyt had three hits and two RBIs in the first game before sne had a double and four RBIs in the second. Bailey Brown had two doubles and three RBIs in the second game as well for Forest Hills (4-5).

Buckfield dropped to 2-5.

Lawrence 10, Mt. Blue 1: Paige Belanger hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning as the Bulldogs beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Sarah Martin pitched a complete game to earn the win for Lawrence (4-7).

Maddy Currier, Sarah Cummings and Lauren Guppy each had two singles for Mt. Blue (1-10).

Medomak Valley 19, Mt. View 3, 5 innings: Abby Maquire had two singles and two triples as the Panthers beat the Mustangs in a KVAC B game in Thorndike.

Danielle Hunt added a double and three singles, while Taylor Simmons had four singles and Heidi Obuchon a double and two singles for Medomak Valley (8-3).

Kersey Boulay had a double and a single for Mt. View (0-11).

MCI 9, Waterville 3: Katelyn Sousa had two doubles, a single and scored three runs as the Huskies beat the Panthers in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Kat Smedberg also scored three runs for MCI (7-4), while Courtney Fowler pitched a complete game, striking out five to earn the win.

Hannah Allen had an RBi single for Waterville (2-9).
