MADISON — Rep. Ann Dorney, representing Norridgewock, Madison and Solon, will host an Energy Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at Madison Area Memorial High School. Admission is free and drawings are planned for energy-related prizes.
The event will include informational sessions on geothermal energy (with a tour of the geothermal heating at the high school), natural gas availability in central Maine, energy audits, small wind power projects, solar options, programs that help you finance energy updates, new lighting options, Net Energy Billing, weatherizing your house, biomass options, calculating your carbon footprint, hybrid and electric cars, heat exchangers, demand hot water systems, and more.
Kennebec Valley Community College will have information available on its educational programs.
