OAKLAND — Nomination papers are available today through Sept. 16 at the Oakland Town Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Candidates who wish to run for public office must submit completed nomination papers no later than 4:30 p.m. Sept. 16 to be voted upon Tuesday, Nov. 5. The required number of signatures is no less than 25 and not more than 100.
The following seats are available: two Town Council seats for three-year terms; three Budget and Advisory Committee seats for four-year terms; one Regional School Unit 18 school board seat for a three-year term and one Regional School Unit 18 school board seat for a two-year term.
