KEENE, N.H. — New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers say inaccurate GPS coordinates from a cellphone complicated search efforts for three Massachusetts men who got lost on a Mount Monadnock trail.

The men called 911 to say they became lost while descending the mountain at about 6 p.m. Sunday. They tried to provide their location using their cellphone.

Conservation officers eventually found the men shortly after 8 p.m., not far from the Marlboro Trail in the vicinity of Shaker Farm Road in Jaffrey.

The men were uninjured. They were 20-year-old Max Stoff, 20-year-old Benjamin Adams-Keane, and 19-year-old James Rose, all of Arlington, Mass.
