Skowhegan Savings Bank recently received national recognition for its work in supporting high school students to overcome barriers to education.

The bank received the Corporate Above and Beyond Award, a national award given by the nonprofit organization Jobs For America’s Graduates, according to an announcement from the bank.

The award is given to one business annually.

The bank was recognized for its support of the state organization, Jobs for Maine’s Graduates, the state organization’s financial literacy program, and developing a financial literacy fair in Somerset County.
