GARDINER — West Gardiner author Sandra Palmer Fish will conduct a workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Hazzard Reading Room at the Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water St.

Palmer will discuss the creation of her new book, “Peace by Piece” and how the illustrations were created by using paper pieces from recycled magazines. She will explain her motivation behind writing the book and talk about how acts of kindness impact a community.

Participants will also make collages. Copies of the book will be available for sale — all profits from the sale of books at the workshop will be donated to the Children’s Room of the library.

This event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend. For more information, call 582-3312.
