Staples, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and teen actor Jake T. Austin are kicking off a national school supply drive across the country. The Sixth annual Staples for Students National School Supply Drive will supply local students with the tools they need to be successful in school. Through Sunday, teens can drop off supplies at their nearest Staples store, and Staples will put the supplies in the hands of local BGCA students. Staples customers can also continue to donate $1 or more at their local Staples store through Sept. 28.

One hundred percent of the donations will benefit local students at Waterville Area Boys & Girls Club. The local Staples stores to make a donation are at 14 Crossing Way, Suite 3, Augusta; 1131 Union St., Bangor; and 40 Waterville Commons Drive, Waterville.

The company kicked off the drive with a $125,000 donation in July and 100 percent of the overall proceeds will benefit members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, according to a news release.
