4 p.m., two Augusta residents were arrested by police responding to a shoplifting complaint at Sears on Whitten Road. Katelynn Marie McLaughlin, 20, and William Joseph Young, 46, were each arrested on a warrant and a charge of theft. Young also was charged with attaching false plates.
