LIMERICK — A woman and her 10-year-old son were injured after another son accidentally pinned the two against their house with a pickup truck Thursday morning.

According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Mollie Mooers, 37, had given her 13-year-old son permission to back up the truck.

Sheriff’s deputies said the truck has a manual transmission and the boy’s foot apparently slid off the clutch with the transmission in reverse. The truck lurched back and pinned the woman and her 10-year-old son, who had been standing with her, against their house on Lombard Hill Road.

Deputies said Mooers suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries and the 10-year-old had leg injuries. Both were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland and the sheriff’s office said their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The sheriff’s office said no charges are expected to be filed in the incident.
