WHITEFIELD — Barry Newell and Linda Quintal were married May 18, 2013 at Whitefield Community Church with the bride’s nephew, Lester Dancer officiating.
The groom is the son of the late Winfield and Julia Newell. The bride is the daughter of Louise Dancer of Whitefield and the late Lester Dancer.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandson Liang Zhi Lin. The bride’s daughter, Bobbi Lin was maid of honor and the bride’s granddaughter, Jada Mei Lin was bridesmaid. The groom’s brother, Winfield Newell, was best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brothers, Lester and Larry Dancer. The groom’s granddaughter, Amber Chesley circulated the guest book.
A reception was held at American Legion Post 2 in Augusta where the bride’s mom, and aunts Beverly, Gloria and Dorothy catered an amazing meal. The bride’s best friend, Mary, provided a beautiful wedding cake.
Mr. Newell retired from Augusta Mental Health Institute and is currently employed part-time at Riverview Psychiatric Hospital. Mrs. Newell retired from DHHS and is currently employed at Molina Healthcare.
The couple will reside in Vassalboro until their final retirement and will than summer in Maine and follow their dream to live someplace warm in the winter.
A spring 2014 honeymoon in Hawaii is planned.
