Daniel M. Dellinger of Virginia, national commander of the American Legion, has announced local stops in his official visit to Maine this weekend.
On Saturday, Dellinger will have breakfast at Veterans Memorial Post 205 in Augusta; visit with post members and guests at Malcolm Glidden Post 163, Palermo; have lunch at Alfred W. Maxwell Jr. Post 40 in Winthrop; visit the Decker-Simmons Post 51 in Oakland; and attend a banquet in his honor at the Emerson and Lane Post 132, Richmond.
All veterans in the area are welcome, whether or not they are members of the American Legion.
