HALLOWELL — A fundraising event for The American Community Project will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday at Chris Vallee’s loft at the corner of Winthrop and Water streets.
The Band Apollo will provide entertainment. Refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be provided by Charlamagne’s Bar & Lounge.
Proceeds will support a small group of people from Central Maine who will take a journey across the country — 48 States in 48 Weeks — on mopeds. They will explore hunger needs throughout the United States, share what they see and learn through social media, and raise money for agriculture-based solutions.
Tickets cost $100. All proceeds benefit The American Community Project.
