BREWER — Lindsay Webber scored two goals, including the game-winner with 2 minutes, 3 seconds left in the first overtime, as Maranacook defeated Brewer, 2-1, in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B field hockey game Thursday.

Maranacook (2-6) scored the winning goal off a penalty corner. Lindsay Jackson’s shot was saved by Brewer goalie Brooke Richards (four saves), and Maranacook’s Amber Ridlon got the rebound. Ridlon then passed to Webber for the goal.

Webber also scored in the first half for the Black Bears, with Jackson on the assist. Bri Goetz made six stops for Maranacook.

Cassy Green had the goal for Brewer (3-5).

Messalonskee 8, Edward Little 0: Emily Hogan and Mikayla Turner each scored two goals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Auburn.

Nathalie St. Pierre, Kassi Michaud, Sydney Gagne, Erin Field and Brooke Quirion also scored for Messalonskee (8-1).

Karli Stubbs had 25 saves for EL (0-8).

Cony 1, Bangor 0: Arika Brochu’s unassisted goal with 15 minutes left to play lifted the Rams to the KVAC Class A win in Bangor.

Lindsey Lapierre made four saves in goal for Cony (5-3-0) while Rachel Luc made five for Bangor (2-5-1).

Girls soccer

Erskine 3, Medomak Valley 0: Jade Canak scored a pair of goals in the second half and Cassandra Ray stopped all four shots she faced as the Eagles cruised to the victory in South China.

Michaela Sprague scored in the first half for Erskine (5-2-0).

Chelsea Ripley had 11 saves for the Panthers (1-5-1).

Boys soccer

Maranacook 2, Oceanside 0: Alex Tooth and Taylor Wilbur scored for the unbeaten Black Bears in a KVAC B in Readfield.

Cody Solmitz assisted on Wilbur’s goal.

Phil Atwood made 16 saves in goal for Oceanside (5-2–0) while Brad Worster made three for Maranacook (7-0-0).

Hall-Dale 9, Oak Hill 0: Konnor Longfellow scored three goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Wales.

Nat Crocker and Jake Young each scored two goals for the Bulldogs (8-0-0). Quint Stevens and Alec Poulin Roberts also scored.

Kyle Fields had 24 saves to lead the Raiders (0-7-0).

Lewiston 4, Cony 1: Bronson Kieltyka scored the lone goal for the Rams (2-4-1), whose winless streak stretched to four games.

Lewiston improved to 6-1-0.

Erskine 2, Medomak Valley 1: Sam Wilkinson and Ryan Rodrigue each scored goals to lead the Eagles in Waldoboro.

Joe York and Wilkinson each had an assist for Erskine (6-1-0), who trailed 1-0 just 12 minutes into the game. Jared Gartley had three saves for the Eagles.

Medomak Valley dropped to 1-5-2.
