FAIRFIELD — An infant boy was found dead in his father’s bed early Friday morning, prompting a police investigation into the death.
The boy, 5-and-a-half-month-old Liam Clifton, was found dead on his father, Eric Bacheller’s, bed Friday morning, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
The boy lived on 19 Burns St. with his parents, Bacheller and Kayla Clifton.
Fairfield police were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m., McCausland said.
State police are investigating the death, which is standard procedure for the death of a child age 3 or under.
An autopsy will take place this weekend at the state medical examiner office.
