ORONO — Annabelle Hamilton scored her eighth goal of the season as the University of Maine defeated Northeastern 3-2 in non-conference field hockey action Sunday.

Gardiner graduate Becca Paradee and Skowhegan graduate Nicole Sevey assisted the winning goal. Cassidy Svetek added her fifth goal of the season for the Black Bears (7-6, 1-2) while Sydney Veljacic also scored. Natasha Ford made three saves.

Emmy Zweserljn and Lindsay Bennett scored for Northeastern (7-6, 1-2). Becky Garner stopped four shots.

Colby 6, Connecticut College 1: The Mules scored three goals on penalty corners and one on a penalty stroke to earn the New England Small College Athletic Conference win in Waterville.

Sophomore Megan Fortier scored three goals to move her team-leading totals to eight goals and three assists for 19 points. Charlotte Deavers, Natalie Fischer and Caitlin Murray also scored for Colby (6-4, 3-4). Michelle Burt stopped three shots.

Jillian Dahrooge scored for Connecticut College (3-6, 1-5). Becca Napolitano made six saves.

Men’s soccer

Connecticut College 3, Colby 0: Matthew Bitchell, Paul Bacigalupo and Daniel Adair each scored a goal as the Camels earned the NESCAC win in Waterville.

Billy Hawkey added two assists for Connecticut College (7-2-2, 3-2-2). Max Nicholas made six saves.

Cody Funkhouser stopped eight shots for Colby (4-7-0, 0-7-0).

UM-Machias 3, UM-Farmington 0: Alfredo Palacios, Stefan Zalucky and Jairo Ulises-Castillo each scored second-half goals to lead the Clippers to the non-conference win in Farmington.

Luis Herrara finished with six saves for UMM (14-2-0).

Derek Reilly made seven saves for the Beavers (2-9-1).

Women’s soccer

UM-Machias 2, UM-Farmington 1: The Clippers scored two unanswered goals to earn the non-conference win in Farmington.

Emma LeGallais and Clayre Saunders scored the goals for UMM (11-3-0). Jessica Bickford made eight saves.

Maranacook graduate Sarah Pokorny scored the lone goal for the Beavers (5-6-2). Beth Lebel and Amy Jones combined to make four saves.

Binghamton 3, Maine 2: Rebecca Raber, Katie Corcoran and Stephani Church each scored to give Binghamton the America East win in Orono.

Carrie Martin made one save for Binghamton (7-4-2, 2-1-1) while backup Gaby Gold stopped four shots.

Maine (6-4-4, 3-1-1) got goals for Nikki Misener, her first of the season, and Charlene Achille. Lauren Swant made six saves.

Connecticut College 1, Colby 1 OT: Annie Papadellis scored an unassisted goal in the first haf but the Mules had to settle for a NESCAC tie in Waterville.

Aina Torres scored off an assist from Annie Higgins for the Camels (3-4-3, 1-3-2). Bella Hall stopped nine shots.

For Colby (4-5-1, 1-5-1), Emily Brook made six saves.

Also Sunday: Mt. View graduate Chrissy Larrabee earned top individual honors for Husson at the 11th Annual Runnin’ Monks Invitational cross country meet. Larrabee finished the 5K in 20 minutes, 22 seconds. … Husson won the North Atlantic Conference Golf Championships with a team total of 608. Salem State’s Cameron Daley shot a two-day total of 145 to capture individual medal honors. UMF senior David Berthiaume carded a career-low 78 to finish in a four-way tie for 11th. The Beavers finished fifth overall. UMF’s Simon Rollins of South China, was 17th with a 162 and Joe Messerman finished 18th with a 164.
