WINTHROP — Rachel Ingram and Jess Ames each scored a goal to lead Winthrop past Mountain Valley 2-0 in a Mountain Valley Conference field hockey game Monday.

Catherine Ouellette added an assist. Alyssa Arsenault made two saves for the Ramblers (11-2-1).

Cassie Thibodeau stopped seven shots for the Falcons (3-11-0).

Spruce Mountain 3, Hall-Dale 2, OT: Kayla Meserve scored three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead the Phoenix over the Bulldogs.

Meserve’s game-winning goal came on a cross from Randi Duguay.

Shanay Gilbert and Nicole Pelletier each scored goals for Hall-Dale (6-7-1). Gilbert was also credited with an assist. Bulldogs goalie Molly French had 28 saves.

Kasey Richards had five saves for Spruce Mountain (13-0-1).

Girls soccer

St. Dominic 6, Winthrop 0: Faith Grady scored three goals to lead the visiting Saints to the MVC win.

Emma Byrne added two goals for St. Dominic (10-1-1) while Kelly Pomerleau had one. Pomerleau had seven saves.

Haley Choate stopped 25 shots for Winthrop (0-12-1).
