An Oakland woman reported missing twice in a week was found Wednesday about nine miles from where she was found Monday, according to a family member.
Carrie Commeau was found on Crosby Street in Atkinson around 11 a.m., brother-in-law Chuck Jackson said.
Commeau, 35, of Oakland, was reported missing by family members in Oakland Tuesday afternoon, according to Oakland Police.
Commeau was first reported missing by family members Friday night. Police in Milo found her driving a black and tan Ford Explorer, according to Milo Police Chief Damien Pickel. Commeau was taken to Milo Regional Hospital, where she was medically and psychologically cleared and released, according to Pickel.
Pickel said that he received the second missing person report around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday and searched for Commeau Wednesday morning.
Pickel said he spotted Commeau in her car Wednesday morning about nine miles from Milo in Sebec, where he talked briefly with Commeau before she drove off. Pickel said police then followed her about seven miles into Atkinson, in Piscatiquis County, where she pulled over and talked with police again, ultimately agreeing to be in custody of her aunt, according to Pickel.
