BREWER — The Maine Department of Marine Resources is postponing a meeting on the upcoming elver season because of possible snowy weather.

Monday’s meeting for elver harvester and dealers had been set for 1 p.m. in Brewer, but will be rescheduled. A second meeting, on Wednesday in Augusta, will be held.

Elvers, or baby eels, are caught in Maine rivers and exported to Asia for use as seed stock in aquaculture facilities.
