WATERVILLE — Chris Hale had 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to lead Waterville to a 65-57 win against Maine Central Institute in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B boys basketball action Tuesday night.

Alan Wood added 14 points for Waterville (1-1), while Justin Jabar scored 10.

Mitchell Hallee and Eric Hathaway each scored 13 points for MCI (0-2).

VALLEY 64, GREENVILLE 56: With the score tied at 40 early in the fourth quarter, Valley pulled away and made free throws down the stretch to take the East/West Conference win in Greenville.

Dylan Belanger made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead Valley (2-0). Collin Miller added 15 points for the Cavaliers.

Matt DiAngelo led Greenville (0-1) with 17 points, while Trevor Richards scored 13 for the Lakers.

FOREST HILLS 60, NORTH HAVEN 45: Ryan Petrin had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the Class D win.

Matt Turner had 16 points for Forest Hills (3-0), while Brandon Ouellette scored 13. Tanner Daigle added 12 points for the Tigers.

Avery Waterman led North Haven (2-1) with 18 points.

MADISON 66, TELSTAR 37: Derek LeBlanc scored 27 points to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Madison.

Trailing 10-9 after one quarter, Madison (1-1) took control with a 21-10 run in the second. Jared Miller had 10 rebounds and five assists for the Bulldogs.

Maverick Griffin led Telstar (0-2) with 10 points.

MORSE 65, WINSLOW 63, OT: Ethan Winglass scored 22 points to lead the Shipbuilders to a win over the Black Raiders in Bath.

Casey Watson added eight points for Morse (2-0).

Trevor Lovely led Winslow (1-1) with 33 points. Justin Martin added seven points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Black Raiders. Dakota Herman scored six points and had 10 rebounds.

MT. BLUE 47, SKOWHEGAN 43: Freshman Zack Mittlesadt scored 17 points to lead the Cougars over the Indians in Farmington.

Nate Backus added 10 points for Mt. Blue (1-0), while Kindle Bonsall grabbed 12 rebounds.

Eli Holland led Skowhegan (0-2) with 16 points, while Isaac Witham scored 12.

OAK HILL 66, MT. ABRAM 42: Parker Asselin scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the second quarter to lead the Raiders to the MVC win in Wales. The Raiders scored 28 points in the second period to pull away to a 44-19 lead at the half. Jonah Martin added nine points for the Raiders (1-1) while Amos Withee led Mt. Abram (0-2) with 11 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

RANGELEY 53, HYDE 30: Tori Letarte had 16 points and four steals to lead the Lakers to the Class D win in Bath.

Taylor Esty added eight points and five rebounds for Rangeley (2-0). Diamond Brown led Hyde (0-1) with 18 points.

NOKMOIS 63, MT. VIEW 31: Taylor Shaw and Anna MacKenzie each scored 14 points to lead the Warriors over the Mustangs in Newport. Jenni Nadeau led Mt. View with 12 points.

Kylie Richards added 11 points for Nokomis.

OAK HILL 79, MT. ABRAM 23: Grace Sabine scored 18 points to lead the Raiders to the MVC win in Wales.

Hayley Marshall added 10 points for Oak Hill (1-1) while Meagan Crosby scored eight.

Mt. Abram (0-2) was led by Alexandra Harnden with 11 points and Brooke-Lyn Millbury with eight.

MARANACOOK 57, ERSKINE 34: Christine Miller scored 24 points to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC B win in South China.

Sarah Clough added 18 points for Maranacook (1-1). Emma Robertson had four points and seven rebounds for Erskine (1-1).

WINSLOW 47, MORSE 27: Heather Kervin scored 12 points to help Winslow take the KVAC B win at home.

Devin Fitzgibbons made a pair of 3-pointers for Winslow (2-0), which broke open the game with an 18-4 run in the third quarter.

Signe Ostergaard led Morse (0-2) with 14 points.

WATERVILLE 35, MCI 24: Colleen O’Donnell scored 11 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had seven steals to lead the Panthers to the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.

Jordan Jabar had 13 points and nine rebounds for Waterville (1-1), which led 13-0 after one quarter.

Katie Hughes had eight points for MCI (0-2).
