WINSLOW — Sixth and seventh graders at the Winslow Junior High School recently participated in the King Arthur Life Skills Baking Program. The students learned the science of bread baking during a 50-minute presentation and were encouraged to bake their own bread over the weekend. They were asked to bake two loaves, one to keep and one to share with the Homeless Shelter and/or the Evening Sandwich Program.

Approximately 212 participated, 170 loaves of bread were distributed to members in the community.
