FAIRFIELD — Nia Irving scored 23 points and grabbed 23 rebounds as the Lawrence High School girls basketbal team earned a 56-26 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win over Hampden on Thursday.

Paige Belanger added 11 rebounds, while Dominique Lewis chipped in with nine points for Lawrence (3-0).

Courtney Dunton had 11 points for Hampden Academy (1-3).

LINCOLN 54, ERSKINE 24: Jen Genthner scored 13 points to lead Lincoln Academy to a win over Erskine in Newcastle.

Barret Campbell added eight points for Lincoln (3-1).

Hannah Bridges led Erskine (1-4) with eight points. Mallory Chamberlain added five points.

SKOWHEGAN 56, BANGOR 38: Morgan Buker scored 19 points as the Indians cruised to the Rams in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.

Taylor Johnson and Alanna Atkinson each added 17 points for Skowhegan (4-1).

Sarah Bragg had 12 points and Mary Butler 10 for Bangor (2-2).

NOKOMIS 58, MCI 34: Mikayla Charters had 17 points as the Warriors beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Taylor Shaw added 12 points and Lindsay Whitney chipped in 10 for Nokomis (4-0).

Ashley Alton had 12 points for MCI (1-4).

MT. BLUE 53, MT. ARARAT 24: Caitlin Kane had 13 points and Miranda Nicely had 10 points as the Cougars beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Mt. Bluu (1-2) scored 20 points in the third quarter to seal the win.

Nikki Bradstreet had seven points for Mt. Ararat (0-4).

MESSALONSKEE 63, EDWARD LITTLE 52: Jordon Holmes had 22 points and six assists as the Eagles beat the Eddies in a KVAC A game in Auburn.

Ryan Erskine added 11 points and six assists for Messalonskee (3-1). Nick Mayo had four blocked shots.

Salad Sheikh and Lew Jensen each had 12 points for Edward Little (1-3). Kaeb Maine and Andrew Middleton each added 10.

Maine Central Institute 61, Nokomis 40: The Huskies had four players score in double figures as they defeated the Warriors in Newport.

Austin Tolman led MCI (2-3) with 14 points. Jordan Valente added 10, and Jonathan Santiago and Mitchell Hallee each chipped in with 10.

Andrew Cartright scored 27 points for Nokomis (0-4).

Hampden 82, Lawrence 41: Cam Scott had 18 points as the Broncos beat the Bulldogs in a KVAC A game in Hampden.

Zac Gilpin added 15 points, Nick Gilpin 13 points, Deshaun Jones 11 and Brendan McIntyre 10 for Hampden (4-0).

Taylor Slaney had 10 for Lawrence (2-2).

Mt. Ararat 54, Mt. Blue 45: Shyheim Ulrickson had 19 points as the Eagles beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Topsham.
