NEWPORT —Taylor Shaw scored 25 points as the Nokomis girls basketball team remained unbeaten with a 77-50 win over Oceanside in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Saturday.

Anna Mackenzie added 19 points for Nokomis, which improves to 5-0.

Makenna Brooks had 16 points, Brooke Dugan 11 and Lily Vachon 10 for Oceanside (4-2).

MADISON 49, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 38: Kirsten Wood scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and was 5 for 6 from the foul line as the Bulldogs earned an MVC win in Madison.

Christie Vicneire also had 10 points for Madison (5-1) which outscored Mountain Valley (2-3) 17-5 from the free-throw line.

Karen Flaherty had 10 points for Mountain Valley.

CONY 43, MESSALONSKEE 38: Emily Quirion had 27 points as the Rams beat the Eagles to earn their third KVAC A win, in Oakland.

The Rams, who improve to 3-2, outscored the Eagles 12-7 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Sophie Holmes had nine points and 12 rebounds, while Mikayla Turner had 13 points for Messalonskee (3-2).

EDWARD LITTLE 73, LAWRENCE 39: Lew Jensen scored 22 points to lead the Red Eddies to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Fairfield.

Kaleb Main added 16 points for Edward Little (2-2) while teammate Elijah Row scored 12.

Dustin Simpson-Bragg had nine points for Lawrence (2-3).

MADISON 50, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 26: Dustin West had 10 points and 10 rebounds as the Bulldogs beat the Falcons in an MVC game in Madison.

Ty Cowan and Derek LeBlanc each added eight points for Madison (4-2).

Caleb Gavin had eight points for Mountain Valley (1-4).

OCEANSIDE 74, NOKOMIS 49: Isaiah Stone-Patterson had 23 points to lead four players in double figures for the Mariners in a KVAC B win in Newport.

David Gould added 14 points, Nick Judge 13 and Hunter Grindle 10 for Oceanside (5-0).

Jacob Winslow had 14 points and Devin Haas had 10 for Nokomis (0-5).
