I read the Dec. 14 article, “Augusta council considers beefed-up downtown security.” If Tobias Parkhurst is so concerned with the security of his tenants’ vehicles, he should pay for cameras out of his or his tenants’ pockets. The city’s taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for them.

If the council approves this boondoggle, then I want cameras in my neighborhood, too.
