I would like to thank the men and women who work for Central Maine Power Co. and other utility companies that have worked around the clock since Sunday to restore power so many people could have a Merry Christmas. These people endured severe cold, wind, ice and crazy drivers, while many of us continued on as if nothing was wrong.

I urge people who see these guys out there on their travels to say thanks, wave, blow their horn, give them a thumbs up, let them know they are appreciated. Remember, they worked through their Christmas.
