AUGUSTA — Emily Quirion scored 30 points and added nine rebounds to lead Cony past Brunswick 61-53 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball game Tuesday.

Quirion hit four 3-pointers in the win. Haley Quirion added 11 points for the Rams (6-4) while Olivia Deeves chipped in with six points and nine assists.

Brunswick (6-2) was led by Julia Champagne with 18 points and Lyse Henshaw with 15.

MARANACOOK 41, MCI 26: Christine Miller scored 18 points, including nine in a pivotal second quarter to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC Class B win in Pittsfield.

Liz DiAngleo added 10 points for Maranacook (6-3) which held a 22-1 advantage from the free throw line.

Cassie Miller scored 11 points for MCI (1-7).

Gardiner 72, Erskine 41: Rachel Quirion scored 14 points to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Freshman Lauren Chadwick had eight points and five assists for Gardiner (5-3) while Morgan Carver added 10 points and four steals. Abby Dunn also had 10 points.

Erskine (1-6) was led by Mallory Chamberlain with eight points and Mia Taylor with six.

Hall-Dale 53, Winthrop 16: Allison Crockett had 12 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale.

Nicole Pelletier added seven points and seven steals for Hall-Dale (4-4) while Dani Sweet chipped in with eight points.

Randi Dennett, Shie Smith and Alyssa Arsenault each scored four points for Winthrop (0-9).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 51, MONMOUTH 35: Emily Keene had 17 points as the Phoenix won the MVC game in Jay.

Kailee Newcomb added nine points for Spruce Mountain (8-0).

Kylie Kemp had 11 points for Monmouth (5-3).

Messalonskee 44, Mt. Ararat 35: Sophia Holmes scored 18 points to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Mikayla Turner added 11 points for Messalonskee (7-2) while Kelsey Mayo had 10 rebounds to go along with four points.

Mt. Ararat (0-9) was led by Lindsey Cornelison with 18 points.

RANGELEY 71, KENTS HILL 32: Taylor Esty had 24 points, eight rebounds and six steals as the Lakers beat the Huskies in an East/West Conference game in Kents Hill.

Seve Deery-DeRaps added 16 points for Rangeley (7-0).

Sarah Grenier had 19 points for Kents Hill (3-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Gardiner 48, Erskine 42: Seth McFarland scored 18 points to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in South China.

Brad Weston scored eight points for Gardiner (4-3). Tyler Bailey led Erskine (0-7) with nine points.

Messalonskee 59, Mt. Ararat 54: Nick Mayo scored 20 points to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Topsham.

Messalonskee (7-2) outscored Mt. Ararat (4-5) 26-16 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Shyheim Ulrickson scored a game-high 31 points for Mt. Ararat.

BRUNSWICK 59, CONY 53: Ryan Black had 20 points as the Dragons won the KVAC A game in Brunswick.

Blake Gordon chipped in with 18 for Brunswick (5-3).

Ben Lucas had 11 points and Tyler Tardiff 10 for Cony (3-7).

MARANACOOK 71, MCI 68, OT: Taylor Wilbur scored 30 points, including three in overtime, to lead the BLack Bears to the KVAC Clas B win in Readfield. Mitchell Hallee led MCI with 19 points and tied the game to send it to OT. Cam Brochu added nine points and 12 rebounds for Maranacook (7-2).
