UNITY — New Hope for Women will present a night of Portuguese fado singing and dining, featuring Maine’s own Tremolino and dancer Shana Bloomstein. The evening will begin with tapas, drinks and a silent auction beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Unity College Center for the Performing Arts, 42 Depot St. Desserts will be served during intermission.

Fado is Portugal’s blues or flamenco, its urban roots music. Tremolino is four central Maine musicians. Leslie Stein, Jim Macdonald, Doug Ronco and Chris Marshall.

The concert will benefit New Hope for Women, which offers support to people affected by domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, and provides educational resources in creating a safer and healthier future.
