GARDINER — Abby Dunn scored 12 points to lead Gardiner past Belfast 62-35 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls basketball action Wednesday.

Morgan Carver and Ally Day each scored nine points for Gardiner (8-5), while Katelynn Boyington added seven points.

Kelci Falkingham led Belfast (1-12) with nine points.

RANGELEY 53, KENTS HILL 25: Blayke Morin had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead the host Lakers to the win.

Tori Letarte added 13 points for Rangeley (12-1).

Emma Curnin scored 13 points for the Huskies (5-3) while Ashley Doyle had 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL

GARDINER 71, BELFAST 52: Brad Weston scored 16 points to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Seth McFarland had four points, five rebounds and four assists for Gardiner (8-5) while Josh McKelvey chipped in with seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and two points. Alex LaPointe scored nine points.

Belfast (1-12) was led by Zavier Roman with 13 points and Garrett Hamlin with 12.

KENTS HILL 59, HEBRON 45: Nelkas Kwemo scored eight points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Huskies to the prep school win at Kents Hill.

Trenton SirLouis added 14 points and three blocks for the Huskies (3-3) while Luke Arsenault aded eight points and 12 rebounds, Trevor Guity 10 points and four assists and Luke Dragonetti 10 rebounds.

Jalen Robinson scored 24 points for Hebron.

MESSALONSKEE 65, CONY 48: Jordon Holmes scored 30 points, including five 3-pointers in the second half, to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

The Eagles outscored the Rams 40-23 after halftime. Nick Mayo added 10 points for Messalonskee.

Cony (5-9) was led by Alex Neill with 13 points and Liam Stokes with eight.

BOYS HOCKEY

MESSALONSKEE 10, BREWER 2: Jared Cunningham had four goals, including three straight in the second period, and three assists as the visiting Eagles cruised to their 10th win of the season.

Chase Cunningham added three goals and five assists for Messalonskee, which improves to 10-0-0. Dan Condon had a goal and two assists, while Dylan Burton had a goal and three assists for the Eagles. Brandon Nale also had two assists. Ben Weeks and Elijah Tuell combined for 17 saves for Messalonskee.

Jared White and Trey Wood scored for Brewer (5-4-2).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

ST. JOSEPH’S 81, THOMAS 36: Morgan Cahill scored 19 points to lead the Monks to the win in Standish.

Lindsay Moore added 12 points for St. Joe’s (11-3) while Molly Mack chipped in with 12.

Thomas (2-12) was led by Gardiner graduate Katie McAllister with nine points and Emilee Reynolds with six.
