POULTNEY, Vt. — Andrew Dickey scored a game-high 40 points on 12 for 16 shooting to lead the the University of Maine at Farmington to an 86-56 win over Green Mountain College in North Atlantic Conference men’s basketball action Saturday.

Dickey made 9 of his 10 3-pointers for UMF (7-9, 5-5 in NAC). He also finished with a team-high 14 rebounds. Maranacook graduate Ben Johnson scored 14 points for UMF.

Javier Lugris scored 17 points to pace Green Mountain (3-11, 2-8).

Castleton 87, Thomas 78: Troy Davine led five players in double figures with 17 points and the Spartans held on for a NAC game in Castleton, Vt.

Chad Copeland scored 15 points and Casey McGraw added 14 for Castleton (11-5, 9-1), which won its seventh straight game.

Garen Manzo scored a game-high 31 points for Thomas (6-10, 6-4). Levi Barnes scored 15 points for the Terriers as well.

BOWDOIN 64, COLBY 59: Center John Swords scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Polar Bears to the New England Small College Athletic Conference victory in Brunswick.

Keegan Pieri also had a double-double for Bowdoin (15-1, 4-1) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Grant White chipped in with 11 points for Bowdoin.

Shane Rogers scored 15 points and Sam Wilson added 12 to pace Colby (8-8, 1-4).

Women’s basketball

UMF 88, Green Mountain 40: Bianca Stoutamyer scored a team-high 14 points off the bench and Liz Ferry added 12 to pace the Beavers to the NAC victory in Poultney, Vt.

Holly Oliver and Lindsay Ranquist each scored 11 points for UMF (7-10, 6-4). Kennadi Grover grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Allison Wadsworth scored a game-high 20 points for Green Mountain (1-13, 0-10).

CASTLETON 79, THOMAS 33: Alyssa Leonard finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead host Castleton to the NAC victory.

Meghan O’Sullivan added 12 points for the Spartans (15-2, 10-0 in NAC), who out-rebounded the Terriers 49-30.

Elizabeth Goodall scored nine points to lead Thomas (3-13, 3-7), which shot just 25 percent from the field (12-48).

BOWDOIN 73, COLBY 53: Shannon Brady scored 22 points to lead all players and also grabbed eight rebounds to lead the No. 19 Pole Bears to the NESCAC victory in Brunswick.

Sara Binkhorst chipped in with 11 points while Kristen Prue had eight for Bowdoin (16-2, 4-0), which led just 42-38 early in the second half before it put the game away with an 18-0 run.

Carylanne Wolfington led Colby (6-12, 0-5) with 12 points while Mia Diplock had seven.

MEN’S HOCKEY

MIDDLEBURY 5, COLBY 2: The Panthers scored three goals in the second period to pull away for the NESCAC win at Alfond Rink in Waterville.

Ben Wiggins scored twice for Middlebury (7-7-2, 5-4-1) while Thomas Freyre, Matt Silcoff and George Ordway had one apiece. Michael Peters stopped 22 shots.

EJ Rauseo and Ray Zeek each scored for the Mules (9-6-3, 6-5-1). Devin Albert, Tyler Lingel, Matt Gelnaw and Robert McCormick had one assist each. Sam Parker made 22 saves.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

WILLIAMS 4, COLBY 0: The Ephs scored two goals in each of the first two periods and rebounded from a Friday night loss with the NESCAC victory in Williamstown, Mass.

Cristina Bravi scored two goals and Michaela Levine had a goal and two assists to pace Williams (9-6-1, 6-1-1).

Andree Heller also scored for the Ephs.

Brianne Wheeler had 37 saves for Colby (5-8-2, 3-6-1).

ALPINE

UNH CARNIVAL: Mardi Haskell and Paige Whistler each had top-10 performances to help the Colby women’s team to a third-place finish in Franconia, N.H.

Haskell was seventh with a two-run time of 1:38.13, while Whistler finished in 51.97.

Craig Marshall finished 16th in a two-run time of 1:32.88 as the Colby men finished seventh.

NORDIC

UNH CARNIVAL: Amy Bianco placed 17th for the Colby women’s Nordic team and Paco DeFrancis was 18th for the men in Jackson, N.H.

Bianco had a time of 44 minutes, 30.1 seconds over the 15K course. DeFrancis covered the 20K course in 50:54.5.
