HOULTON — Nick Denis scored three goals and added an assist to lead Waterville to a 4-2 win against Houlton/Hodgdon in Eastern Maine Class B boys hockey action Saturday.

Denis scored three straight goals, two in the first period and one in the third, after Waterville (8-3-1) fell behind 1-0. Tommy Samson added a goal and three assists, while Mike Oliviera and Zach Smith each had an assist. Kaleb Kane earned the win with 18 saves.

Chase Brewer had 45 saves, while Brandon Malone and Lucas Peabody scored goals for Houlton/Hodgdon (1-11-0).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

FOREST HILLS 53, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 16: Kori Coro and Jocelyn Hoyt each scored 14 points as the Tigers won in Jackman.

Forest Hills remains unbeaten at 16-0.

Jocelyn Davis had 16 points for Acadia Christian (0-16).

CARRABEC 69, LISBON 39: The Cobras jumped to a 17-5 first-quarter lead en route to the Mountain Valley Conference win in North Anson. Emma Pluntke and Micayla Willette led Carrabec (12-3) with 15 points apiece while Macy Welch scored 13 and Libby Chestnut 11. Adrianna White paced Lisbon (4-12) with 11 points.
