RICHMOND — Police are looking for a bicycle bandit after reports of a pair of break-ins on New Road this week.

Police Chief Scott MacMaster said his department is investigating two daytime burglaries that occurred Monday morning.

“We also have information that the suspect may have left the area on a stolen mountain bike,” MacMaster said in a news release. Police believe the burglar could be wearing a backpack, which also was stolen.

MacMaster asked anyone with information about the case to call Richmond Police at 737-8518 or email PoliceInfo@RichmondMaine.com.
