There was another article in the paper recently about a mother hurting her child. This person allegedly held her 6-year-old son’s hand on a wood stove to show him how much it would hurt if her daughter accidentally fell against the stove.

And the part that upsets me even more is that they gave her the children back. He has second- and third-degree burns on his hand and wrist, but they feel she is stable enough to have her children? No, there is something so wrong with this.

It seems as if we daily see children suffering so much abuse by adults who are caring for them. When are people, especially parents, going to get it that all children need to be loved and cared for because they are our future generation. It doesn’t matter if they are rich or poor, they should keep their hands off these precious lives. Nurture and love them, show them that they matter. It’s not hard to do.
